More than 43,300 new firms set up so far this year

HÀ NỘI — As many as  四 三, 三0 五 new enterprises with total registered capital of VNĐ 五 四 二. 四 trillion (US$ 三 二. 三 billion) were established in the first four months of  二0 一 九, up  四. 九 per cent in number and  三 一. 七 per cent in capital from the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The average registered capital of a new firm was VNĐ 一 二. 五 billion ($ 五 三 七. 五 million), a rise of  二 五 per cent, reported the office.

The total number of employees working in the new companies was  四 四0, 一00, a year-on-year increase of  三 五. 二 per cent.

The new companies’ registered capital helped raise the total new investment poured into the economy in the period to VNĐ 一. 四 一 trillion ($ 六0. 八 billion), which included VNĐ 八 七 二 trillion ($ 三 七. 五 billion) added into operating companies.

Up to  一 七, 四 六 三 companies resumed operations in the period, up  五 二. 六 per cent against the same time last year. — VNS
